I love when students can practice real-life stuff in my class. Find some menus online or go to your favourite restaurant. You can often download PDF files. Print them out and you can do a million things with these menus in your class. Students can talk with their partners about what they would eat and what they would drink. If they like buying the most expensive meals at a restaurant. If they get dessert. And you could also do some role-plays with it. Someone could pretend to be the waiter or waitress and then the other student can order and the waiter or waitress can ask a whole bunch of follow-up questions. Like if someone says, What about a beer? Oh, what kind of beer do you have? And they can look at the menu and find out what kinds of beers they have. Or someone says, I'll have pasta and the waiter or waitress would say, Would you like cheese? It's only one more dollar or something just like that.
