Five Letter Words Without Vowels | No Vowel Words

Most of the words in the English language contain a vowel. However, some don’t! These words aren’t used as much as words with vowels, so you might haven’t really realized. There are actually more than 100 words that do not include A, E, I, O, or U. In this article, we will go over five letter words without vowels. Let’s see if you know any of them!

What are Vowels?

Vowels are special sounds we make when we speak. They are made by letting air flow freely through the mouth without any blockage. A, E, I, O, and U are letters that represent vowel sounds.

Vowels help us pronounce words clearly and understand each other when we talk. When you go through the list of words without vowels, try pronouncing them. It can be quite tricky!
