  1. What weighs more? A pound of feathers or a pound of bricks? (Answer: the same, both weigh a pound)
  2. Kyle has 20 balloons for his party. He burst 7 of them. How many balloons are left? (Answer: 13)
  3. Two sisters went shopping. The first sister bought 3 apples and 4 pears. The second sister bought 8 bananas and 1 pineapple. How many pieces of fruit did they buy? (Answer: 16)
  4. What’s the next number? 1, 3, 6, 10, __? (Answer: 15)
  5. In the USA, how many dimes equals $3? (Answer: 30 dimes)
  6. Bob’s dad bought 21 oranges at the store. Bob wants to eat them all in one week. How many oranges should he eat each day? (Answer: 3)
  7. You had 52 marbles. You cleaned your room and could only find 47. How many marbles are missing? (Answer: 5)
  8. What is the only number that has the same number of letters as its meaning? (Answer: 4)
  9. If I use a $20 bill to pay for something that is $11.46, how much change should I get? (Answer: $8.54)
  10. What is 64 divided by 8?

Hard Math Riddles for Kids

  1. At which number do Fahrenheit and Celsius meet? (Answer: -40)
  2. Hundreds,  thousands, millions, billions, what is next? (Answer: trillions)
  3. There are seven tables. Six tables have ten people, but one table has eight people. How many people are there? (Answer: 68)
  4. Maria made brownies. She cuts the brownies into 12 equal pieces. How many cuts did she make? (Answer: 5 cuts)
  5. Julia went trick-or-treating to 30 houses. 15 gave her chocolate. What percent of houses gave her chocolate? (Anwer: 50%)
  6. I’m buying something from the store that costs $20. I have a $20 bill. Tax is 10%. Do I have enough money? (Answer: No, I should have $22)
  7. How many zeroes are in the number one hundred thousand? (Answer: 5)
  8. How many hours are there in 2 days? (Answer: 48 hours)
  9. It is 10:15, but Tom feels hungry and asks his teacher when lunch is. At 12:00, the teacher says. How long does Tom have to wait? (Answer: 1 hour 45 minutes)
  10. 7 monkeys are sitting on a tree. 2 monkeys leave to play, and one leaves to get some food. How many monkeys remain on the tree? (Answer: 4)

Tricky math Riddles for Kids

  1. Why was 6 scared of 7? (Answer: because seven ate/eight nine)
  2. Sam needs 25 pencils. Each box of pencils at the store has 10 pencils. How many should he buy? (Answer: 3, he will have some extra pencils)
  3. How many times can you subtract 10 from the number 10,000? (Answer: only once – once you subtract 10 from 10,000, it’s no longer 10,000 anymore)
  4. What is the next number? 0, 20, 2, 18, 4, 16, __? (Answer: 6)
  5. Whatever number you multiply by me, the answer remains the same. What number am I? (Answer: 0)
  6. Brandon has one child, a girl. He’s having another child. What chance does he have of having another girl? (Answer: 50%)
  7. Does sum mean add or subtract? (Answer: add)
  8. How many digits does PI have? (Answer: infinite)
  9. How much dirt is there in a hole that is 3.45 m by 6.21 m? Hint: you don’t need a calculator. (Answer: none, it’s a hole)
  10. An empty bus pulls up to a stop, and 5 people get on. At the next stop, two people get off, and twice as many people get on as at the first stop. At the third stop, 13 people get off. How many people are on the bus? (Answer: 1, the bus driver)
